Turmeric, used as a condiment in curries and as an aromatic stimulant in medicine is native to India and Indonesia.

Here are some of the important health benefits of this fantastic spice and reasons why one should use turmeric while preparing meals.

  • It clears infections and inflammations on the inside and outside of the body.
  • Curcumin, the main component of turmeric blocks an enzyme that promotes the growth of head and neck cancer.
  • Turmeric’s powerful antioxidant characteristics act as a firewall against cancer-causing free radicals, reducing or preventing some of the damage they can cause.
  • It is proved that use of turmeric while treating pre-existing rheumatoid arthritis  significantly reduces the symptoms
