Why Switch to Organics?

Organic food

Organic food are fruits and vegetables that are produced without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Thereby, they not only stay away from industrial solvents or food additives but also use only natural processing techniques. Due to this, organically grown crops are rich in antioxidants with less pesticide residues.

A recent study has found that organic food may also have properties to prevent cancer. Synthetic chemical pesticides are used on inorganic food to prevent pest attacks. Without their use, plants tend to produce more phenols and polyphenols, which can help avert heart attacks, coronory heart disease and certain types of cancers. Organic foods are nutritionally superior because they contain 18-69% higher concentration of antioxidant compounds. Inorganic plants have access to high levels of synthetic nitrogen, which they divert to producing sugars and starches. Therefore, they churn out lower concentrations of other nutrients, including healthy antioxidants. Moreover, they are likely to contain pesticide residues than organic crops.

People who switch to organic foods will receive 20-40% more antioxidants.  Just for this reasons, switching to an organic living makes sense.
