Wise men have said that ‘Breakfast like a king, Lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper’. So, according to this quote breakfast should be the most important meal of the day, but the question is, are we that serious about it? Many people entirely skip having breakfast to save time in the morning rush hours.

So to make the first meal of your day a success, read on the following tips.

1) Fruits

Starting your day with fruits is the best thing that you can do for yourself, as the nutrients in fruits get assimilated more easily if eaten as a single meal.

2) Fibre

Make sure you have added fibrous food to your breakfast plate as they will be low on calories and will give a great start to your bowel movements. You can have fibrous foods like whole wheat bread or fruits in your diet.

3) Add Protein

Many people just have a bowl of cereal with milk for breakfast, but do you know that 1 cup of milk contains just about 8 grams of protein, which is surely not enough to keep your energy level. Adding a couple of eggs to your breakfast will provide you with ample amounts of protein, and will also make you feel full.

4) Not too late

Ideally, you should eat within 1 hour of waking up, as the more time you wait for breakfast the hungrier you become, and this may led to over-eating.

As we have seen before, there are many ways by which you can get the optimum benefits from the first meal of the day. But remember, if being that diligent is not possible, make sure you eat something and not go completely famished, as it is always wise to have some breakfast than no breakfast.
