2) Whole grains


People who have whole grains in their diet are slim and have less fat content, which consequently reduces their chances of getting heart diseases. This can also be attributed to the fact that most whole grains contain phytoestrogens, antioxidants and phytosterols.

3) Apples

We can safely say that ‘an apple a day keeps the doctor away’ as it has been found that apples are full of epicatechin, epigallocatechin and quercetin which reduce the bad cholesterol, which in turn decrease the chances of heart failures.

4) Pomegranates


The blood red seeds of the Pomegranates clean up the plaque that gets accumulated on our arteries. They are also very rich in antioxidants making it even healthier.

5) Olive Oil


And here is our star performer, the olive oil. Olive oil is super healthy as it is loaded with monounsaturated fats which contribute in reducing cholesterol. However, when you go about purchasing olive oil in the store ask for the extra virgin variety.
